Easter is fast approaching and a wardrobe update is very much deserved, however there are also Easter eggs too. So to help you along on what to spend your Easter money on, I have put together 3 outfits to get you started on which key pieces are in this season to help lift your spring wardrobe woes.
Denim and pleats
Denim will always be that staple piece in anyones wardrobe and they can rework with a range of different looks. Boss, Tome and Altuzarra all used knife tight pleats in their shows for spring/summer ’16 last year, instead of the big and clunky car wash pleats which were popular in the autumn. So I’ve mashed together the different textures of the denim shirt with this chiffon pleated midi skirt up for a key spring look. For those cooler spring days warm up the outfit with a bomber jacket, this will also give a street style edge.
This off-the-shoulder dress by H&M is not only bang on trend but it will save you some change, so you can treat yourself to coffee after. The Spanish style was seen on the catwalks from Diane Von Furstenberg to Michael Kors, using bold reds toreador-esque details. I have added the black sandals from Dorothy Perkins and the fringed earring also by H&M, this outfit is also perfect if you want to start your holiday shopping.
All the ruffles
Victorian style ruffles and paper bag waist are not really the easiest of pieces to pull off but when done right can be amazing, especially if you are aiming for to make high street look high fashion. Both pieces were seen over the runway for spring/summer ’16, played with by the likes of Emilia Wickstead and Tibi. If considering to purchase paper bag waist try and pair up with a tight top as this will balance your silhouette.
